The Client
Barista is an AI-powered platform built for public relations agencies. Its goal is to free PR teams from the daily grind — writing, reporting, and chasing data — so they can focus on what humans do best: telling powerful stories. Barista acts like an editorial assistant trained on your client’s voice, helping professionals create content, monitor media, and generate pitch ideas instantly. The team came to us with strong early work: wireframes, user flows, and early feedback. What they needed was a design partner to turn that foundation into a cohesive, high-fidelity experience — one that felt thoughtful, intuitive, and unmistakably PR-friendly.

The Challenge

While the underlying engine was powerful, the early UI felt unfinished. The client needed help shaping an interface that delivered clarity without complexity, and warmth without going “editorial overload.” We were tasked with building out core flows, a flexible design system, and a visual language that made AI feel helpful — not clinical or cold.
The Challenge
Barista wasn’t just another AI app — it had to feel like a colleague, not a dashboard.

Our Approach
We started with research — analyzing competitors and reviewing the existing wireframes to find friction points. From there, we built a role-based information architecture to map how Super Admins, Admins, and Members would interact with the product differently.
We moved into mid-fidelity wireframes, using these as a collaborative tool to test ideas, co-create features, and refine flows. Once aligned, we began visual design and prototyping — layering in Barista’s unique brand tone: warm, smart, subtly witty. All visuals were delivered as organized, developer-ready files with a supporting design system.
